Weekly Market and Odeon

The weekly market oozes local charm, and offers an enormous variety of fresh fruit and vegetables. Located at the centre of a park, not far from the Roman Villa, we find the ancient Odeon, used for concert events in the 2nd C AD.

The Odeon's construction is reminiscent of an amphitheatre, thus it's not surprising that the notorious gladiatorial games -popular also in this eastern part of Greece- were staged here too.
