Restaurants and Taverns

There is a good and moderately priced restaurant called Sintravi located on the western beach of Kos. It has a beautiful terrace out onto the sea.

The Taverna Hellas, in the centre of Kos City, is highly popular though perhaps only recommendable to those who enjoy a lively (if not noisy) atmosphere. Their Ouzo is cheap, and not surprisingly, sold in large quantities.

The restaurant Tasos is right next to the only camping site on the island. Specialties there are grilled foods, but prices are slightly on the steep side.

The same can be said of Nick the Fisherman, who -as his name suggests- specializes in fish and seafood.
